Recites: agreement of 5. with 1, 2, 3, and 4. for purchase of their several ¼s of the Manor of Gidding A/S. Gidding, with Advowson of S. Gidding Church with Manor House and apps. in the occupation of Sir John Cotton, the gndfather of Sir John C., decd., and any other lands of his in Gidding A./S. Gidding and Hamerton. Now for £5,700 paid by 5. to 1., 1. b.& s. his ¼ to 5. Now for £5,700 paid by 5. to 2., 2. b.& s. his ¼ to 5. Now for £5,700 paid by 5. to Thos. Bowdler, and for 5/- paid by 5. to Arthur Annesley, Thos. Bowdler b.& s. his ¼ to 5. For £5,700 paid by 5. to Sir Robt. Burdett and Chas. Jennens, Esq., they, at the request of the Earl and Countess of D., b.& s. to 5., Earl and C's ¼ of the Manor. (The said sums are also the consideration of a release of even date made between the same parties.) 1, 2, Thos. Bowdler and Earl and Countess of D., agree to levy a fine in favour of 5., to use of 5. Endorsed: 1) Memorandum: Thos. Holled of Lutterworth has signed for 2., having power of attorney. 2) Receipts for several sums of £5,700.
