Description1. James Fairclough, London, Dr. of Physick. 2. Henry English, Wigsell, Esq. and Thomas English, Buckland, Esq. Recites: 1) Assignment of Term of 6th inst. 2) Lease and Release of 7/8 Dec. inst. 3) 1. lending and paying £2,600 to Henry English. Now to secure the repayment of the £2,600 with interest to 1. it is agreed that Henry E. pays 1. £2,756 by 29 Dec. 1681, and the taxes, then 1., Petyt and Lowe will assign and reconvey the Manor of Upton with apps to Henry E. Henry E. agrees to pay the money and taxes. If he does not, 1., Petyt and Lowe may enter into the premises for the use of 1. Henry E. may levy deeds of further assurance to 1. within the next 7 years for the residue of the term of 500 years. Until defaults in payment Henry E. may take the profits. Enclosed: Bond 9 Dec. 1680 1. Henry English and Thomas English. 2. James Fairclough. In £5,200 to repay £2,756 as in above covenant.
