DescriptionAt the Court Baron of the most noble Robert, Lord Riche, before William Wiseman, gent, steward. It is recorded that at the court held on 21 Dec. 1563, James Mower surrendered 3a. of copyhold land called Culverhouse with apps in Pritwell to the use of Margaret his wife for life then to James Mower his son and his heirs for ever. Now it is presented to the Court that the said James the son has been dead for many years without lawful issue and that Laurence Mower is his bro. and next heir to whom the premises should descend. The said Laurence is admitted as tenant to hold through and after the death of the aforesaid Margaret at a rent of 5/- p.a. And William Creswell and the aforesaid Margaret his wife came to court and Margaret surrendered the aforesaid 3a. to the use of the aforesaid Laurence Mower and his heirs. With transcript by J.M.
