Description(1) Sir Thomas Cooke, Hackney, Kt., Alderman and Sheriff of the City of London. Nicholas Carey, Hackney, gent. William Atwill, London, goldsmith. Nicholas Barbon, Osterley, Middx., Dr. in Physick. (2) Ralphe Swaine, the younger, St. Andrews, Holborne, carpenter. In consideration of the costs of (2) in building one new brick messuage on the ground and of the yearly rent and covenants hereafter mentioned, and for 5/- from (2) to (1). Carey and Atwill, at direction of Cooke and Barbon, to (2). All that piece of ground late part of Ficketts field alias Little Lincolns Inn Fields, St. Clement Danes, on the south side of the street leading from Lincolns Inn to Clare Market. From East to West 17' and North to South 45', and the brick messuage there, abutting east on a house lately built by Jeremiah Keene, lately decd., west on a house lately built by Wm. Walker, north on the said street and south on the backyards of houses which front the new-intended Court there, with all apps. From Michaelmas 1691 for 61 years, at 1 peppercorn for the first year, and £13.12s. p.a. for 60 years. (2) to do repairs. Power of distraint to Carey and Atwill.
