Title	Memorandum of Agreement between
Description	(1) Sir John Heathcote. (2) Mr. Nichols (1) Agrees to repair the house according to Matthew Hillyard's estimate. (2) to have it for 14 years at £12 p.a. tax-free to begin from expiration of present lease. (2) to do all repairs by Michaelmas 1752 (except chimneys, which can only be done with those of the next house). (2) wants the wooden trough which conveys water etc. from the next house into his yard removed as it is a nuisance. (2) will pay only half the cost of the leases and desires that the lease may be made for 14 or 21 years, at his option. Endorsed: Portugal Street.
