Description(1) John Hart Cotton, Warfield, Berks, Esq. (2) John Heathcote, Charles St., St. Georges, Hanover Sq., Middx., Esq. In £200 in case Pearson's Piece (10a.3r.37p.) in Upton, bounded on the north by Upton Common, on the S. and W. by Upton Field and on the E. by one of the North roads, conveyed from (1) to (2) by Lease/Release of 4/5 July, 1768, is not in Upton, but in Alconbury, is copyhold and not freehold and if the entail is not sufficiently barred (1) will allow to (2) the difference in value out of the £1500 paid to (1) in the difference in value out of the £1500 paid to (1) in the Lease/Release. Memo. 5 July, 1768 that if it is copyhold it is only worth 25 years purchase not 30 and 5 years should therefore be deducted from the £1,500. If there is a quit-rent 30 years quit-rent should be deducted. If there is an entail not barred the expense for suffering a Recovery is to be paid by (1), when all this is done the bond is to be delivered to (1) From T. White.
