DescriptionRobert Cotton, Gidding, Esq. and Mary Honeywood Cotton, Gidding, spinster, exors. of the will of Sir John Cotton, late of Stretton, their late father, decd, on behalf of themselves and other legatees; Sir Miles Heneage, heretofore of Grayes Inn, and now of Hatton Garden, Middx., Kt., and John Proby, Elton, Hunts, Esq., trustees with the said Robert Cotton in the said will and Sir Miles also being surviving trustee in Release hereafter mentioned and Robert and Philip Cotton, Conington, Cambs, Esq., surviving parties in said Release and Recovery hereafter mentioned against Sir John Cotton, Stretton. Complainants ask for a writ of subpoena to be served on said Sir John Cotton by Court of Chancery for him to answer charges concerning his allegations that Lease and Release of 27/28 May, 1675 Common Recovery of Trinity Term following and will of Sir John Cotton of 11 Aug. 1701 with Codicil of 8 Apr. 1702 are invalid, and his claim to lands and Manors mentioned therein. And for Court's permission to examine witnesses to said deeds.
