Description(1703 dorse) Sir John Cotton, Stretton, Bart, against Robert Cotton, now of Gidding, Esq., Henry Smith, Esq., and Elizabeth his wife, of the City of Westminster, Sir Robt. Cotton, Philip Cotton, Esq., and Thomas Cotton, Esq., son and heir of William Cotton, decd., William Hanbury, Inner Temple, Esq., Robert Pulleyn, St. Neots, Henry Washinton, Lincoln's Inn, gent, John Mason, late of St. Ives, gent. and others; plaintiff claiming title to lands and manors of yearly value of £8,000, under will of Sir Thomas Cotton, his great grandfather, marriage settlement of Sir John Cotton his grandfather and his first wife Dorothy Anderson and under a settlement made by Sir Thomas Cotton c. 1659 or 1660 for the benefit of his eldest son and his issue in tail male. Defendants asked to produce said settlements etc. Amended bill endorsed 1711.
