TitleLetter from Alex. Murray, Symonds Inn, to John Heathcote, Esq. re. the annuity of £20 for the Rector of Conington.
DescriptionMurray has studied the Deed of Grant of 17 Aug. 1718 by which Sir John Cotton, Bart, made this grant, and does not feel that it is invalidated by any law, particularly not by 9 Geo. II Cap.36 (Charities Act) because it was made before that Act. Opinion that the Rectors of Conington demanding tithes in kind, are entitled to the said rent-charge.
