Description1. Sir Humfry Winch. 2. H. Foster, the elder of Carrington, (Cardington) Bedfordshire, gent, and H. Foster, the younger, son and heir of Edmund Foster, sometime of Harrowden nephew of Thomas Foster, late of Sutton, Bedfordshire, husbandman. Recites: Conveyance. 1. Francis Tanfield, sometime of Everton, Esq (now deceased), and wife Elizabeth and H. Finch of Gray's Inn Esq. 2. Thomas Foster (now deceased) 2acres pasture in Tetworth, occupied Sir Lawrence Taylard. Pypers Close (1acre) pasture occupied Ursula Mordant, lying next land of Sawtry east and abutting north and south on highway. Reletes that Francis Tanfield has since died, and that his son William has claimed that the manor of Everton and above property had been settled at marriage of Francis to Elizabeth sister of Sir William Lane, so that he was tenent for life, rem. to William and was not therefore entitled to sell. The matter was submitted to arbitrations of Sir Lawrence Tanfield and Sir Augustine Nicholls who ordered Sir Humfrey Winch to pay
