DescriptionTo be buried in Baptist Chapel yard at Wootton beside late wife. Suit of mourning to each of children and grandchildren and to Reverend William early, baptist minister at Wootton and to maid servants. Executors Mr Joseph Brimly of Cotton End, farmer and Mr. J. Paine of Wootton and Mr Thomas Armstrong farmer, 19gns (Mr. J. Berry of Wootton was appointed but refused to act) Daughters Hannah Saunderson, household goods sufficient to furnish a small house (2 up 2 down) Grandson Charles J. Saunderson (son of late S.J.) wearing apparel real and personal estate to be sold. Legacies out of proceeds: Daughter Hannah, £2000. Granson Charles J. £1000 (£500 was originally bequeathed, but by late daughter Marianne B.) £200 each. Son William S. now residing, I believe, at Melbourne, Port Philip, Australia, £1000 (to be divided among other legatees if he is not heard of within 7 years) Codicil: Bequeaths piece of land at Gamlingay to son William if he comes home within 7 years, remainder to godson, Charles J. Saunderson, who receives 3 cottages at Wootton Pieely (occupied Thomas Gilbert) and 2 at Petty Cross Wootton (occupied Thomas Lovell and George Berrige) H. Charles J. dies before 21 his share is to go to daughter in law Moira Saunderson who is to have one of the cottages at Wootton Caues End for life. 8 March 1850. Endorsed: testator dies 10 March 1850, will proved PCC 30 May 1850. Assets under £7000.
