DescriptionTo Rt. Hon. Sir Raffe Sadler Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster from Jn. Normanton and Jn. Herne Bailliffs and men of Godmanchester asking for Trice to appear at the Court of the Duchy to answer their charges. He has apparently taken the townsmens deeds and agreements concerning the gulls drainage channels and had called a special sessions to be held at Godmanchester, before which 14 Godmanchester men had been charged with riot for opening up two sluices to these gulls in an attempt to prevent the flooding of Godmanchester meadows.
