Description	Letter to father saying he was away from Unit for Christmas Day, but would be celebrating New Year with them. Mentions Hugh Lampson and Noel Turnill who had both been killed. Comments of success of farm at Wansford. Letter to mother saying parcel of vests, socks, tobacco, writing pad and cigarettes received. Weather wet and miserable. Mentions zeppelins finding aerodrome, Mrs Monk, Mrs Kisbee. Christmas purchases from canteen stores were: cocoa, coffee, tongue, salmon, jellies, cigarettes, arrowroot, cakes and chocolate. New Year whist drives was a success, also concert following evening. John Player at Nottingham will send cigarettes out duty free.
