DescriptionRelating to estates in Huntingdonshire belonging to the Marquis of Huntly and known as the Orton, Chesterton and Haddon Estates - which documents were deposited with Lord Vernon and the Earl of Lichfield 27 May 1867, on the occasion of the transfer to them of 2 mortgages charged on the estates by indentures of 10 July 1852 and 1 February 1854, and are now transferred to others. The title deeds and documents recorded cover the period 1617-1884. They refer to the Manors of Orton Longueville, Chesterton and Haddon, the advowson of Chesterton, the Mansion House and grounds at Orton Longueville and lands in the parishes of Orton Longueville, Orton Waterville, Chesterton and Haddon.
