William Crow of Nether Staploe in the parish of Eaton Socon, Bedfordshire, husbandman (nephew and devisee in fee named in the last will of John Goodwin late of Eaton Socon, gentleman, deceased) and Elizabeth his wife. 2. James Topham of Nether Staploe, yeoman. £44. 4 acres of arable land lying dispersedly in the East Field in Hailweston, whereof 3 selions (1½a) lie on Crabtree Furlong between the land of the Lord of the Manor north and the land now or late of the heirs of John Bonner, gentleman, south, abutting west on Short Hale, and 2 selions (1a) lie on Brook Furlong between the land now or late of the heirs of George Thodie on the north, and land now or late of the heirs of Margaret Smith south, abutting east on a headland formerly of Richard Weaver, gentleman, and 2 selions (1½a) on the same furlong between land now or late of the heirs of John Bonner on the north and the lands now or late of the heirs of Walter Carey, esquire, abutting east on the Meadow now or late of the heirs of Bonner, all of which arable land is now in the tenure or occupation of John Smith, and was purchased by the above John Goodwin of Jane Crow and others. 1. also covenant to levy a fine unto 2 of all the above lands.
