Description1. Thomas Warner of St Ives, victualler. 2. Charles Warner of Somersham, gentleman. 3. John Warner of St Ives, currier. 4. Robert Warner of St Ives, currier. Recites will of Robert Warner the elder of St Ives, currier, dated 9 May 1822. Recites that the said Robert Warner borrowed various sums of money and executed various mortgages upon these sums to a total sum of £3000. Recites that the estate devised by the will of the said Robert Warner to 3 and 4 should not sustain or pay any part of the mortgage sum of £3000, but that the estates devised to 1 and 2 were given to them ‘in lieu and satisfaction for the said sum’ of £3000. This indenture witnesses that 1,2,3 and 4 have agreed to pay the said mortgages upon the terms listed. [See also 4670/37].
