TitlePrint of the entrance to the camp at Holmewood Hall. This photograph was taken at the entrance to Holmewood, which was an army camp during the Second World War (nicknamed Tin City by the locals because of the Nissen huts). After the war these huts were occupied by Holme villagers because of the housing shortage. The guard room on the right became a shop and the lady standing outside is Betty Stratton, the daughter of the shopowner
