DescriptionSlip of paper on which is written: "November 30th 1676 John Gowler Cordwainer and Catherine his wife 12 Trustees nominated elected Appointed and chosen by the Inhabitants of Ramsey aforesaid to stand seized to them and their Heirs forever in Trust towards the Relief and For the Maintenance of the Poor Wm Booth and Jno. Evans Churchwardens should call in and take into thier hands £50 of the Poor Money being part of the Towns Stock and therewith to purchase Skegs. and make a Gravel. 10 more to build the house".
On the reverse side is written: "The M & C do hereby give Notice that the Justices have appointed 21 day of Sept next to Receive an Acct of the Charitable Donations of the Parish. All Persons who have any writings or can give any information of any such Donations are desired to give it immediatley to the M & C that the same may be entered in the Schedule to be Returned"
Both entries appear to be in a late 18th/early 19th century hand
