DescriptionThe Mothers' Union (MU) is the UK's largest Christian charity whose purpose concerns all that strengthens and preserves marriage and Christian family life. As an Anglican-led worldwide organisation, they have more than 3.6 million members in 76 countries. Within the Diocese of Ely they actively seek to provide support and care for families, including running parenting groups, providing holidays for stressed families, running Cambridge & Ely Child Contact Centres, running Visitors' Centre at Littlehey Prison, contributing towards Cambridge Women's Aid and Huntingdon Refuge, provide Parent & Child marquees at local country show, knitting and sewing projects for hospital specialist baby units and promoting the ‘Bye Buy Childhood’ Campaign.
