| Description | This document reproduces the text of, and confirms the grants made within, the letter patent of Edward III, 1363, which does not otherwise survive. As the St Ives Fair has not been held for twenty years past due to non-attendance of foreign merchants, the earlier 1363 charter remits £25 of arrears due to the king, and remits also the £20 increase in the fee farm rent made under the charter of Henry III, 1252 (HB1/1/2), until such time as the Fair is held again. |
