| Description | Sending two letters. Enclosed: 1) Copy of a letter A. Fernie, Wellingborough, to Captain Green. Is no longer able to go to Headquarters in the event of the Militia being embodied. Wishes Colonel Vaughan to be informed, therefore, that he resigns the appointment of Surgeon to the Hunts Militia. 8th January, 1846 2) Letter Grace M. Sherard to [Colonel Vaughan] Tharks him on behalf of her son, Charles for the letter announcing Lord Sandwich's consent to his having a commission in the Militia. As regards his qualification in the County, he has a reversionary interest in her landed property in Godmanchester and Wistow. Hopes that that will be considered sufficient. 9th January, 1846 |
