| Title | Letter; J.G. Green, Huntingdon, to 7th Earl of Sandwich. |
| Description | Has heard from Latham that Bigmore has been slightly ruptured for some time past, which is rather detrimental to the duties of a Rifleman: however, since he has been retained in the Brigade, he might still do for the Hunts Militia. The other man, Snelling, seems to be likely to suit. Enclosed: Letter Captain J.H. Synge, 43rd Light Infantry, Chatham, to Captain Green. Giving details of Lance Corporal & Bugler Bigmore and Bugler George Snelling, who are about to be discharged. Snelling is not such a good bugler or musician as Bigmore, but they are both good men. 5th August, 1853 |
