Title | Letter; T.A. Willis, Normandy Park, Guildford, to 7th Earl of Sandwich. |
Description | Gives information about the state of the Batteries of Artillery now that the country is at peace. They are as unprepared for service as they were, because they have now had to give men and guns to those Batteries sent to India. The Times persists in publishing articles quite contrary to these facts. States difficulties, under new system of short service of having men to go to India. Captain Walter agrees that a committee of old officers should be organised to watch over the interests of the Service and urge on public notice the follies being committed with the Army. |
