| Title | Extract from a letter to an unknown recipient, from Lady Olivia Bernard Sparrow |
| Description | Possibly intended for one of her grandchildren as it mentions "your mother's will". Quite a rambling letter, in which she attempts to piece together her grandson Lord Frederick's movements in New Zealand and Australia before his death in 1854. Mentioning Mr Wakefield, Mr Christmas, Archdeacon Cowper and Sir O. Gibbes. She made herself responsible for his debts in Australia but still worries that she did not act in time to save him. Apologises that she has left all her papers in Brampton when she came here to see Robert M. and his wife, who has been ill. |
