DescriptionMany years since he published a work on Highland history but he is glad that the Duke is interested in the subject. Long account of Gaelic poetry, especially Macpherson's Ossian, with comments on type of orthography used. Had hoped to publish this. Also refers to collections of poetry obtained by the Highland Society. Several references to Mr McLachlan.
