Title | Letter from Prince William Frederick, Duke of Gloucester, of Bagshot Park [Surrey] to Millicent Sparrow |
Description | The Duke makes reference to Lady Olivia’s plans to spend the winter at Brighton regretting he cannot be there and hopes that Millicent can spend time with Aunt Mary in the Spring. William Frederick lightheartedly refers to a reference to Millicent having a complaint against him but not saying what this is and he in turn is complaining of her addressing her letters with 'Personal for' and. that she is not coming as promised to Holkham on the 15 November. Mention of Aunt Mary having liver problems and her visit to Cheltenham for the waters and his own visit three week visit there, before going to Bagshot Park and the intention to continue to Norfolk. Ends letter gratified to be called ‘Friend’ and emphasis on his disappointment if Millicent and Aunt Mary do not meet him in Norfolk. |
