It seems doubtful that any steps will be taken in his own business this term. Eldridge is dead - he hanged himself over some money owed by a Mr Stapleton of Yorkshire. "I have a deplorable loss in him." He hopes Sir Robert will find benefit from his time in Bath and is ready for their campaign at Grafham. They have a long war ahead of them.
