| Title | Letter to the Duke of Manchester, from Henry John Porter, Tandragee Castle, steward |
| Description | Lord Mandeville's letter to Fred seems to have been of service. They get on very well indeed. Fred gets up soon after 7, they breakfast together and then he has four hours of drawing and reading before taking his exercise in the grounds. He accompanied him to visit the keeper and has put off young Verner who wanted to come to shoot snipe. He is sorry to hear the Duke has been unwell but thinks it not to be wondered at given their present trials. |
