DescriptionHis plan to take a house near Versailles for the summer; many social engagements in honour of some French visitors to London, friends of the Queen of France. The Prince of Wales has been to all of their parties, "luckily for Lady Melbourne they go on Thursday". Silversmith says plate is still not ready. She has been to court and the King was gracious but his looks and manner strongly mark his dislike for everyone. "Lord S... and the Ministry are constantly with him." [Final page missing].
