DescriptionSeeking the Duke's intercession in a potential chancery cause, explaining that in 1641 Lady Mansel purchased the lease of "a house in the piazzo" from Richard Harris, for which she has not fully paid.

[Part of the final page is missing so the writer and date are unknown. Lady Mansel was the daughter of the late 1st Earl of Manchester, so ti seems likely that this letter was intended for her brother, the 2nd Earl].
