March. Volunteer parade in London. Several references to the Prince of Wales and his visit to Kimbolton. Introduction to the Princess of Wales. Belvoir Castle for the hunting and races.
April. Light Horse Volunteer drills and inspections.
May. Attended Gaol Committee. Marlborough House with the Prince of Wales.
July. Sale of Brampton Park. Concerns about the ceiling of the saloon at Kimbolton Castle.
August. Holyhead en route to Tandragee.
September. Shooting at Stukeley. Arrangements to sell Manor of St Ives to fund purchase in Leighton. Will buy Buckworth "with Brampton money". Hanover and met the Prussian King and royal family. London and Scotland.
November. Calais. Saw Crown Prince of Denmark on the steamer. Royal shooting and hunting parties.
December. To Paris and then return to Kimbolton.
