TitleCopy letter to the Duke of Newcastle from the Duke of Manchester, Kimbolton
DescriptionDescribing a meeting at which the Earl of Sandwich and his followers declined the Duke of Manchester's proposal to raise 800 men for the county and instead agreed to raise two companies of foot to join the Duke of Bedford's regiment. The Duke of Manchester disapproved by the levy money but cannot afford the expense of clothing and maintaining the troops and, therefore, asks whether the King will do so.
