DescriptionClub was established in house of Thomas Brown at the Red Lion, 9 January 1827; volume commences with summary account of money in the bank 1827 - 1841 and names and ages of members with date of joining. Income derived from entrance fees, monthly contributions and forfeits for swearing, non-attendance, laying wagers, throwing orange peel and celery, etc., disbursements for member's funerals, being 'on the box', etc.
