DescriptionJermy's Charity. Lady Joan Jermy (1636-1663) devised or conveyed a cottage and 17.5a. arable land for the use of the church, the education of poor children and relief of poor people. By the inclosure award 1815, the trustees were allotted 21p. and 11a. 2p. in lieu of their open field lands. Lawrence Moptyd, rector of Teversham 1554-1559, left 10s. annually to the poor of the parish. For further details, see 'Report of the Charity Commissioners', 1837.
