DescriptionEight memoranda of surrender of holdings by customary tenants to the Lord of the Manor-William Buggins, at the Court Baron held 3rd day of Sept. 1650, before Robert Bernard, steward, (all in different handwriting), the tenants being Daniell Luffe (three 1/2 acres lying diffusedly in the fields of Stewkley), Richard Scrill (three roods), Thomas Plier (1 messuage with a pightell) Robert Lambe (1.5acres lying diffusedly), John Bird (6 acres lying diffusedly of land and 1 rood of meadow and other portions) Thomas Prior (1 messuage) Elizabeth Chesham (1 messuage, barnes, stables, neathouses, gardens, orchards, closes-with 12 acres of land and 1/2 acre of meadow) List of customary tenants. Minute of the Court of 3rd Sept. 1650, containing notices of fines imposed for breach of Manor grazing regulations and new rules for common grazing and the appointment of 2 field reeves and 2 aletasters for the year beginning September.
