DescriptionManor of Offord Cluny, with Offord Darcy in county of Huntingdon that I John Battely Esq., Steward by patent, of the said Manor of Offord Cluny with Offord Darcy...have appointed...Henry Selleck, gent., my lawful deputy steward to take secret examination of Elizabeth Day, wife of William Day (who was late wife of Edward Strode, and sister and heiress of John Michaell...), customary tenants of the said Manor, and after her examination and consent had, to take surrender by the rod into the hands of the laws of the said Manor from him, the said William Day and Elizabeth his wife, one garden thereto, and one orchard and one close of pastures thereunto adjoining, containing by estimation 2 acres...lying on the east part of Stoneyland Close...with all and singular the appurtenances held by copy of Court Roll of the Lord of the said Manor by yearly rents of two shillings and two pence.
