TitleHodgson's Shooting Party
DescriptionGroup of eleven men with their dogs, guns and a brace of birds after a day's shoot. This image is identified as Hodgson's Shooting party on the glass plate negative, and was taken in 1893. However, the yard in which the group are standing is unidentified, as is the Mr Hodgson. Or was he the Reverend Hodgson? The 1898 trade directory lists a Reverend Thomas Hodgson at Eynesbury Rectory, and if you look closely at the gentleman sitting on the extreme left of the group, he appears to have a cross on his watch chain, and is possibly wearing a clerical stock.
