TitleReaney's School Group
DescriptionGroup of women and young girls and boys outside an ivy-clad building. According to the 1901 census, a Mrs Reaney ran a school from her home at 77 Ermine Street, Huntingdon, and this photograph appears to have been taken in the garden at the rear of the building. She was the widow of Robert Reaney, who was the organist at Trinity Church, Huntingdon from 1872, as well as a Deacon of the church, and Sunday School superintendant. He also formed a chuch choir, and was instrumental in obtaining a magnificent new organ for the Church (see WH3/2212). Mr Reaney died in 1888 aged 51.
