DescriptionGroup of nine people gathered to celebrate the Golden Wedding of Bateman Brown and his wife Susannah at Bridge House, Huntingdon. Bateman was the son of Potto Brown and married Susannah, the daughter of Longland Ekins, in 1848. The couple lived at Hemingford House, Hemingford Abbots and then at Bridge House, Huntingdon. The group have been identified as follows: standing from left to right - possibly Hannah Brown (1884-1914), wife of G.W. Brown; probably Frederick Tarring, architect (1847- ) and son-in-law of Bateman and Susannah Brown; probably Elizabeth Tarring (1850- ) daughter of Bateman and Susannah Brown and wife of Frederick; George William Brown (1827-1901) brother of Bateman and married to Hannah (Dixon) in 1852;
Sitting from left to right - unknown, perhaps an Ekins relative of Mrs Brown, or perhaps Hannah Brown [?]; Bateman Brown (1823-1909); possibly one of the daughters of Frederick and Elizabeth Tarring (either Muriel, born 1878, Vida, born 1876 or Janet, born 1874); Mrs Susannah Brown (nee Ekins); unknown lady.
