DescriptionThe shop of H. Peacock, saddler and harness maker, was situated at 103 High Street, Huntingdon. The Peacock family had been in business as saddlers in Huntingdon for many years. The 1864 and 1877 trade directories record that a William Peacock, saddler, was situated in the High Street. By 1898 HPeacock was running the business.In about 1910 the business was taken over by Mr William Henry Clayton, who continued the business of saddlery and harness making in this shop until he retired in the 1960s
