DescriptionPhotograph of Charles Temple Layton in a boat on the River Great Ouse by Bridge House, Huntingdon. Charles T. Layton, J.P. was born in 1851 and lived at Brampton Grange, Brampton from 1893. He was Chairman of Brampton Parish Council from 1896-1911, and for some time Treasurer of the Institute management committee. Layton Crescent in Brampton is named after him. He was also instrumental in the building of the new Roman Catholic church in Hartford Road, Huntingdon, which opened on the site of the old church in 1901.
