| Description | Studio portrait of Potto Brown's third wife Jane Prattman (nee Halchrow). Potto Brown and his partner Joseph Goodman were millers in Houghton, St. Ives and Huntingdon (see WH/1/15, Mr Brown's steam flour mill), and the family were prominent members of Trinity Church, Huntingdon. Potto Brown died in 1871, and Jane in 1873, aged 67. She was described a "very tall, fine woman" [see Accession 366, genealogy of the Goodman Family] |
