Description1. John Moyer Heathcote, Conington Castle, Esq. 2. The Ecclesiastical Commissioners. 1. under the authority and for the purposes of the Church Building Acts, being seized of the land, messuage, etc. hereinafter described, by virtue of the last will of Fr. John Heathcote of Conington Castle and Berkeley Sq., Esq. decd. dated 1 June, 1835 and proved 28 May 1838. Conveys to 2: Piece of land (1a.Or.2p) in the parish of S. Gidding, part of a close called Bottom Hall Yard, numbered 35 on the Tithe Commutation map, delineated in the plan drawn here and coloured green. With the messuage and outhouse there. All which said premises are in the occupation of Rev. Henry Molyneux, Clerk, M.A., Rector of the rectory and parish church of S. Gidding. Together with a perpetual right of way across and on the 'Road to church' for access to the premises, and all apps. to the said piece of land and messuage, and all right of 1. in it. To hold free from land-tax and tithe rent charge. To be used as the site for a parsonage with garden and glebe for the rector. 1. agrees with 2. that he, 1. has the right to make this conveyance, and that the premises, with rents and profits, shall be to the use of of 2. Enclosed: 1. Letter 29 Dec. 1874 Ecclesiastical Comm. to J.M. Heathcote, Esq. Commissioners willing to accept a conveyance of the house as a parsonage if satisfactory title can be shown and H. pays Comms' costs. Incumbent will be responsible for delapidations after the conveyance, therefore he should be informed of the proposal. 2. Letter 5 Jan. 1875 Ecclesiastical Comm's to J.M. Heathcote, Esq. Acknowledges receipt of H's letter of 1 Jan. Comm's have instructed White, Barrett and Co. of No.6 Whitehall Place, for the completion of the conveyance 3. Extract from the will of John Heathcote, late of Conington Castle, and of Berkeley Sq., Esq. - 1 June, 1835. To my eldest son John Moyer Heathcote: All my manors, advowsons, lands etc. in Hunts., Rutland or Middx. or elsewhere in Great B. not herein otherwise disposed of with apps. Proved May 28, 1838 by J.M. Heathcote, sole executor. N.B. The above extracts not the only portions of the said will referring to the matters there mentioned. 4. Draft Declaration of John Moyer Heathcote, that he is the eldest son of the late John Heathcote, and by his will became seised of certain freehold lands etc. in the parish of S. Gidding. Death of father on 3 May 1838, having received rents and profits 1800 - 1838 - J.M.H. now receiving them. No mortgage or other incumbrance on the estate. Piece of freehold land (1a.Or.2p) now to be conveyed to the Eccl. Comm's by me (boundaries described) is part of a farm now occupied by Henry Ringrow, as my tenant. I have never heard of any person having claiming to any estate right or title to my lands at S. Gidding, adverse to the title of my late father and myself.
