Description(1) The Rev. Sir Wm. Cheere, Bart. (2) Chas. Cheere, Esq., and Ann his wife. (3) Francis Morland. (4) Chas. Madryll, Esq., nephew of (3). (5) Frances Cheere, spinster, eldest of 2 daus. and only children of (2) and niece of (1). (6) Emma Cheere, spinster, minor aged 18, sister of (5). (7) Adam Moore, apothecary. (8) Ralph Knight Allen, Esq., John Ellicott, clerk, John Heathcote, Esq., and Sherlock Willis, Esq., (9) William Peere Williams, Vice Adm. of H.M. Navy and Claudius Williams Tonirea, clerk. Recites: (i) marriage agreed between (4) and (5). (ii) Testamentary bequests by John Cheere decd., to (1) and (2) of 7 messuages in St. Paul's Churchyard Churchyard, one in Carter Lane, 7 freehold houses in New St., St. Martin's in the Fields. All his freehold estates in London and Westminster and residue of leasehold and personal estate. (iii) Death of John Cheere and proving of will by (1), (2) and (7). (iv) (1) and (2) have renewed leases in St. Paul's Churchyard and Carter Lane. (v) (3) and (4) as his new trustees are seized of Manor and lands to be thereinafter granted and conveyed. (vi) For marriage settlements of both (5) and (6) and to make provision for Ann Cheere, (1) and (2) agreed to settle following estates to foll. uses and Anne Cheere to levy a fine to bar her dower in her husband's estate. (vii) (7) to join in assigning said estates in St. Paul's Churchyard and Carter Lane. (viii) (1) to give (4) on marriage £1,000. (ix) (3) to assign his following lands to following uses. Therefore (1) and (2) to (8). 2 messuages in Fleet St., 9 in Bridgewater als. Barbican Sq., 10 in New Chapel St., 1 in Chapple St., 2 in New St., with their vaults and river frontage. Messuage in St. John St. All in London. To the following uses: After marriage ½ to (2) with provision for Ann. ½ to (1). Half of each ½ on trust for (5), then (4), then their issue. If none to (6), similarly on to (4). Other half to (6) similarly. (1), (2) and (7) release to (8). 6 freehold messuages in New St. and St. Martins Lane and another one there. To be settled in moieties on (5) and (6) as the previous property. And (1) and (2) to (8). Various lands and messuages in Cowley St., Barton St., Smith St., College St., Rochester Row, Love Lane, Bowling Alley, The Strand, Carter Lane, and Dean St. All in London and all fully described. Messuage on Labour in Vain Hill. Messuage in St. Paul's Churchyard, all in London. Leasehold property. On trusts as before. (3) and (4) to (8). Manor of Papworth Everard, Cambs., and lands and messuage there. To following uses: After marriage to (4) and (5) for life, then to (9) for 500 years, then to heirs of (4) and (5), in tail male on to daus. equally or to (4). Usual covenants. Added: (i) note that (2) died soon after execution of settlement and that Ann executed it and released her dower. (ii) note that settlement was executed by all parties parites except (9) and duly witnessed.
