DescriptionWoodston Manorial Records contd. Labelled in green ballpoint 'Bundle 151' and 'Surveys etc. 1680-1720' Includes a number of copyhold deeds for Manor of Woodston but also deeds re Tompson and Carryer of Peterborough and other nearby places, including Whittlesey. Only surveys I found were small paper notes of John Tompson's farm at Ponds Bridge 1758 and Hollis Hill Ground 1760. Some records earlier than 1680, from at least 1665. Inventories etc. Very dirty.

BRA 1524 Lake and Walker of Lincoln's Inn's correspondence concerning Rock Life mortgage for Yaxley Fen Commissioners [presumably for drainage works] under recent act, mainly with Laurence & Co. of Peterborough, clerks to the Commissioners. 2 bundles.

Inclosure Commissioners' order (including plan) for road ('Puckle's Drainage Road) and drainage improvements to Rectory Glebe Farm Grafham for Revd B.H. Puckle [separated from Yaxley Fen records] 1855.

Inclosure Commissioners' order (including plan) for drainage improvements ('Sparrow's Farm Improvements') to Manor Farm Bury and Grafham Lodge Farm for Lady Olivia Bernard Sparrow 1855.

BRA 1539. John Burder of Parliament Street, solicitors, clients' records for copyhold estate of late Peter Snell of Cheltenham (d.1814), including copy 'probate' [though in fact only will and codicil] 1814; copy agreement by his four co-heiress daughters and spouses not to sell but to hold in common; copy admissions for four daughters (Agnes, Elizabeth, Frances, Margaret) to land copyhold of Manor of Great Paxton [Rectory] 1815 , with steward's bills for admissions to this property and other copyhold of Manor of Toseland, and of Agnes and Elizabeth to half of quarter of estate following deaths of their sisters 1845; letter of George Day about courts and of (?)John Rix of St Neots about item purchased from Great Paxton; office copy of Master's Report in Chancery ex parte Elizabeth Willyams one of the daughters 1834. Also, unconnected with this: arbitration by John Burder and Rev John Stanley about South's Almshouse Charity for parish of Buckden: the charity to pay Thomas Bowyer £795.8s.8d and recommended to purchase a small piece of land behind almshouses for privies out of view.
