TitlePlan of the town of Yaxley and some of the old Inclosures
DescriptionThe old inclosures are coloured green, numbered with the names of owners and occupiers marked. Town Street, Grove Lane (north) and the river (south) are shown. There is a drawing of the church and the plot of the Free School is identified. Ponds and watercourses are outlined in blue. Scale: 2 chains to 1 inch.

In addition to this map we have also a photographic copy of a slightly different plan, covering a larger area of the manor of Yaxley, also by Lovell entitled 'Plan of the Lordship of Yaxley' from a recent Survey of The Town and old Inclosures and from ancient Maps of the Allotments and Fen Land' (HA ref. PM5/12) which bears the arms of the Earl of Carysfort. The Earls of Carysfort were members of the Proby family of Elton Hall and were Lords of the Manor from 1625-1920 when the Lordship was sold to W.S. Abbott of Thornhaugh (Victoria County History, volume 3). There is a second copy of this map in Stibbington Parish records (HA ref. HP76/31/2) with a covering letter from Wyman Abbott, solicitors of Peterborough, undertaking research into George Wayman Abbott and his predecessors who were stewards of the manor, 1982.
