TitleArtwork of Huntingdon Grammar School alumni Eric Woodward, Derek G. Brown and P.R. Doudney
DescriptionEric Douglas Woodward was a pupil at Huntingdon Grammar School, and was destined for enrollment at the Slade Art School in London. His artistic studies were interupted by the advent of the Second World War. Woodward served as a flight officer with the RAF's 268 squadron flying P-51 Mustangs. He was killed on 06 June 1944 while flying in support of the Normandy landings. Woodward was twenty-two.

Woodward's artwork, plus several drawings from his contemporaries at Huntingdon Grammar School Derek Brown and P.R. Doudney, were retained by Timothy Towler, the School's Art and Technical Drawing Master. This material subsequently changed hands several times before being deposited with Huntingdonshire Archives.
