DescriptionFrank Cowlard was born 15 November 1891 and was employed at Kimbolton Castle as Head Gamekeeper for the 9th and 10th Dukes of Manchester. He resided with his family at Keeper's Lodge, Pound Lane, Kimbolton. The house was eventually gifted to him by the Manchester family in thanks for his work for them. Frank's wife Rose Ellen Cowlard worked as a cleaner at the castle after it became a school.

These records were deposited by Frank and Ellen's grandson.
