DescriptionRequesting him to allow his son to become a Conservative candidate for the county. If his son did so, he would receive support from Lord Sandwich, the Duke of Manchester and every gentleman in the county, Fears that if no opposition is offered now to the Radicals, they will gain a firm hold in the County and become very difficult to dislodge.
