TitleRecords of the Manor of Little Stukeley
DescriptionThe Manor was given to Ramsey Abbey in the 10th century by Alylwin, the Abbey's founder. After the Dissolution the Manor appears to have remained with the Crown until 1590, when it was granted to Richard Younge, Edwrad Rust, George Garth and their heirs. By 1767 the Manor had passed to Sir Robert Bernard who died unmarried in 1789. From this date it followed the descent of the Bernard estate in Brampton, and then the Manchester family.
